Adobe™ Offers AI LLM Optimizer for AI LLM Content Optimization

Adobe™ has been an innovative, graphic design software company for decades. It’s products were world class. And this year, it’s extending its brand reputation by venturing into the Generative AI realm with new some cool, new AI tools for the mid to enterprise level marketing team.

The company might be under big pressure from new AI-powered software.  Dall-e and Google Veo 3 for example, provide some pretty impressive image and video creation and processing capabilities for small businesses with the appropriate marketing software budget. Adobe has built quite a marketing platform geared more to mid to large-sized companies.

Smaller companies who are reorganizing, downsizing and modernizing might save enough to adopt its AI marketing platform.

AI LLM GPTs Coming in Like a Tidal Wave

As you’ll note in my other posts on AI LLMs, there are challenges for us in understanding how they index web/social content, understand users intent, and how they evaluate our content’s meaning, quality and value to users. As someone experienced with search engine ranking algorithms (i.e. Google), the AI LLM algos operate similarly to Google’s relevance/quality assessments. Yet, being referenced widely in GPT answers is tough. We need to study SGE and GEO more extensively, to master credibility, trust and authority aspects. As you can see in the graphic below, adoption has been massive. Add Google Gemini (and Grok) to the mix, and the stage is set for a whole new way to rearch B2B and B2C consumers. Marketing users are just adopting the tools without understanding the AI LLM algorithms, with dreamy expectations that AI softtware can do it all. But it can’t. The deep mental work, creativity and igenuity, strategy and tactics are our responsible. But these tools can make human talent much better.

The fact is, AI LLMs are growing in use in business and consumer use, and posing a big threat to Google’s dominance. So, we need to understand more deeply how they understand our content and then how we should develop it to their liking. The LLM’s aren’t a god. They’re a product of technology companies, each one with their own purpose and goals. The question then becomes, how do we make our content resonate with their specific algorithm?

Announcing Adobe AI LLM Optimizer

It is interesting to see Adobe dive into the AI challenge with a suite of Generative AI tools to help marketers and content creators. We don’t associate Adobe with text content, but since their new LLM optimizer exists within its greater marketing analytics platform, it’s getting serious notice. With improvements, it could be awesome for AI marketers to use.

The company announced this new text content optimization product at the Cannes Lions Festival in France only a month ago. It’s called LLM optimizer which was designed to address the significant challenge of generative experience optimization (GEO). Adobe believes this AI tool is designed to be more than an evolution of SEO but a new approach to digital marketing. It actually goes beyond SEO to optimize any kind of text content.

LLM Optimizer is part of the Adobe Experience Cloud, specifically under the umbrella of Adobe Experience Manager (AEM)—Adobe’s enterprise-grade content management system. LLM Optimizer is a strategic addition to Adobe Experience Manager — Adobe’s website content management platform. This is part of building an Agentic AI, Adobe Brand Concierge for B2B and B2C, and a partner ecosystem.  They’re trying to gather the full power of Generative AI and make it usable for content creators and marketers.

Good news is that it’s available as a standalone AI tool – for enterprise marketers who want its AI optimization features without full AEM suite adoption.  It’s also connected to Adobe’s broader GenStudio and Firefly ecosystem, which includes generative content tools, though its primary function is optimization, not content creation.

LLM Optimizer leverages Adobe’s Sensei GenAI—Adobe’s artificial intelligence and machine learning platform—so it’s tightly integrated with Adobe’s AI services layer that spans multiple Experience Cloud products.

Remember that despite the doomsday hype and claims, we are not past the organic SEO era and Google search delivers most of the traffic and leads that most businesses receive online. Advanced SEO is absolutely required now given the bar for content and keyword relevance is higher, and due to how competitive rankings are. SGE and GEO are new techniques that we as SEO pros will become acquainted with. AI LLMs are still search engines and this is an element of SEO.
