🌞🍹⛱️  The Sweet Rush of Late Spring Wanderlust

The sudden arrival of amazing weather with warm temps and not a cloud in the sky makes us all get dreamy about the summer season ahead.

There’s a moment now in the late days of spring when the air changes with buds on trees blooming — when the last chill dissolves into warmth, and people seem to exhale with anticipation of the season they really love. One day you’re in long sleeves and the next you’re squinting against bright golden sunlight, feeling the warmth of the rays on your skin. And then you’re dreaming of open roads, lakeside cottages and distant shores.

Completely normal and healthy, in fact, your body and mind are speaking to you, guiding you to good travel decisions.

And summer isn’t just coming—it’s pouncing this year, and with it, your urge to escape, explore, and adventure will unspool like a highway vanishing into the horizon.

The Scorching Hot Summer of 2025 is Coming!

Yes, our revered Old Farmer’s Almanac just released their summer 2025 weather predictions, and the United States and Canada are in for a doozy. You won’t want to be sweltering in this heat in the city or burbs. It’s time to see the USA and Canada.

For Canadians and Americans, this is the season of possibility. The mountains, beaches, and lakes we’ve missed all winter are calling, and suddenly, every conversation turns to plans: Will it be the Pacific Coast’s salty breezes and ocean waves? How about the jazz-filled nights of New Orleans? Or the wild, pine-scented solitude of the Canadian Rockies? I like that one a lot.  The options are endless, and the excitement is palpable—because after so many months of waiting, summer is finally within reach.

The Art of Anticipation

These few weeks before the season truly kicks in, is a time of almost where we dream of our perfect vacation and flipping through travel magazines, bookmarking cabins on lakeshores, like testing the water with your toes to see if it’s warm enough to dive in. Restaurants will be rolling out their patios, city parks will hum with impromptu picnics, and everywhere, people are shaking off the last of their winter routines, hungry for novel, fun and thrilling adventures.

This is when travel dreams take shape. Maybe you’re envisioning a cross-country road trip, windows down, music loud, stopping at every quirky roadside attraction. Route 66 is still a possibility you know, and the Pacific Coast highway is epic.  Or are you craving slow mornings in a seaside town, where the only agenda is fresh coffee and the rhythm of the tide. That’s how I feel in San Diego or Sarasota.  And walking on the beach ain’t so bad.

Whatever your fantasy, late spring is the perfect time to chase it—before the crowds arrive, while the air is still thick with promise.

Where Will You Go This Summer?

North America is bursting with summer magic, and the best trips often start with a simple question: What do I need right now?

  • For the Wild at Heart: The national parks—Yellowstone, Banff, Yosemite—are waking up, their trails crisp with morning dew. Beat the peak-season rush and hike beneath skies so blue they feel invented.
  • For the Sun-Worshippers: California’s beaches, Mexico’s Riviera Maya, or North Carolina’s Outer Banks offer endless waves and the kind of heat that melts stress away.
  • For the Urban Explorers: Cities like Montreal, Chicago, and Austin come alive with festivals, rooftop bars, and street performances—summer is their finest season.
  • For the Slow Travelers: A lakeside cottage in Maine, a vineyard in British Columbia, or a desert retreat in Sedona lets you savor stillness under wide-open skies.

The Joy of Last-Minute Plans

Some of the best summer adventures are unplanned—a spontaneous weekend getaway, a detour that leads to a hidden gem, or simply saying yes to an invitation you’d usually decline. The warmth in the air seems to whisper: Go now. Don’t overthink it.

So as the days stretch longer and the world turns lush and bright, ask yourself: What does my summer soul crave? Then pack a bag, grab your sunglasses, and let the season surprise you.

Because suddenly—gloriously—it’s summer. And anything can happen.

Where will you wander? 🌿☀️
