If you haven’t been to Vancouver, you have to make it a priority to visit this incredible city. My client in San Diego says Vancouver is her favourite place, even ahead of San Diego. That’s saying a lot about Vancouver. So much to do in one place.
One thing I didn’t have time to do in Vancouver, is hike up the Grouse Mountain Trail. Grouse Mountain is right next to North Vancouver and it is 4,000 feet high. You can take a high speed tram called the Skyride to the top and it has great views of the city and the whole Delta basin. You can sit and watch the big ships go under the narrows bridges.
There is a ski resort up top operating in the winter. You take the skytram up. It’s about the same trip as you’ll have on Banff’s Sulphur Mountain Gondola ride. Now they have the Eye of the Wind turbine up there to give you a little more of a thrill.
Eye of the Wind is their new power turbine right at the top and it has a viewing platform on it 200 feet high. That’d be a little scary for anyone considering the winds up there.
Grouse Mountain Zip Lining They’ve got zip lining at Grouse Mountain too. Excellent! Wow, that’s pretty high up.
